The Logo Factor is a logo design blog curated by Steve Douglas, a graphic designer who has specialized in logo design for over twenty years, as well as being the creative director of The Logo Factory Inc., a small design shop that specializes in, well, designing logos.
When working on this, his professional website, it struck Douglas that logo designers and logo buyers often need information from a different perspectives. Designers (should) already know about the various applications of logos across different media. Buyers may not. Buyers may be interested in some very basic information on what makes a good logo. Designers would look at that kind of article as “meh – been there, done that”.
It seemed only logical that a blog that specialized in logo design information would be split into two halves – one for designers, the other for potential clients and buyers.
So what’s with the giant spark plugs? Well, Douglas has always viewed a logo as the spark plug of a branding ‘engine’ so when it came to developing a theme for this blog, he chose to visually represent that view. That, ladies in gentlemen, is the reason for The Logo Factor.
Welcome. And enjoy.
